STRENGTH BORN IN WEAKNESS Stop waiting for “qualified” and start walking in “called.” Your excuses are the exact canvas God uses to display His glory!
No matter what excuse you bring to God as to why you cannot be used by Him, the answer is always the same—I’ll be with you. God, I’m too weak morally, spiritually, physically. I’ll be with you. God, I have no skills or talents—I’m totally unqualified. I’ll be with you. God, I’m not smart, and I never did well in school. I’ve never met a test I could not bomb. I’ll be with you. God, I’m not a brave person. I am not bold. I’m a total introvert who makes everything awkward. I’ll be with you. God, I am totally overwhelmed and tired. I’ll be with you. God, I don’t know if I can handle it. I’ll be with you. God, I am totally unqualified! I’ll be with you. He does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called.
1. Exodus 4:10–12 “And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.”
2. 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
3. 1 Corinthians 1:26–27 “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”
