Our best isn’t good enough. The best we have to offer is filthy rags. No matter how meek, mild, and pious you may be or how great and well-spoken you may be — filthy rags are the only offering available to God.

You may be little-known or have a name that, when spoken, sets social networking toward a flurry of retweets, likes, and shares. Filthy rags are all you have to offer a Holy God. HE must laugh at our meager attempts to please HIM.
