A Simple Truth for Every Generation
There’s something we need to settle in our hearts when it comes to reaching the next generation.
How a child is raised and how that child chooses to live aren’t always the same thing.
We can raise them with love, with prayer, and with Scripture — but at the end of the day, they have to decide which road to take. That can be a hard truth, but it’s also a biblical one.
The Bible says:
“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
— Romans 14:12 (KJV)
That means each of us is responsible for our own actions — no matter our upbringing, generation, or background.
There’s a growing idea today that we need to find new ways to reach the next generation — that we’ve got to change the way we present the gospel to get their attention. While methods may change, we must remember that the message never does.
Let’s not complicate it.
-
Stick with the Word of God.
-
Stick with the Romans Road.
-
Stick with John 3:16.
-
Stick with 1 John 1:9.
-
Stick with 1 John 5:13.
These verses still Work. They still Speak. They still Save. They still Cleanse. They still give Assurance.
We don’t need to overthink it. We don’t need to adjust God’s Word to fit the times.
We just need to plant the seed — and trust God with the harvest.
No advanced theology degree required. Just a heart that’s willing and a Bible that’s open.
That’s the simple truth, for every generation.
